Park Closure

To enable set up and break down of the Chorley Flower Show, access to areas of Astley Park will be restricted, from Monday 14 July to Firday 1 August. Please follow diversion routes on site.

Buying Chorley Flower Show tickets

• Tickets can be purchased on the day (by cash or card) or in advance.
• Tickets are available at an early bird price until and including Sunday 20 July.
• Ticket information can be found here
• Children age 15 and under get free entry to the show. If you are purchasing tickets online, plesae select a £0.00 child ticket.

• Use of Time Credits

ACCESS TO CHORLEY FLOWER SHOW 

• You will be given a wristband upon entry to the event. Should you wish to use any of the park’s other facilities outside the show area, such as the children’s play area, then you are welcome to leave and return as you wish, but you must be wearing your wristband to re-enter. 
• Entrance points for Chorley Flower Show will be via the Park Road entrance to the park (town centre) and Hall gate (Astley Village) entrance.
• Please be aware that if you enter the park via the Ackhurst Lodge entrance will need to walk round to Hallgate to enter the show.

DOGS 

Dogs are allowed in the show area but must be on leads at all time. If you want to exercise your dog you can exit the show area and return if you are wearing your wristband. 

There are also be activities for dogs at the show – dog agility and dog photographer.

TOILETS AND BABY CHANGING 

We have toilets and baby change facilities in the Coach House and Farmhouse and have provided additional facilities throughout the park. 

FOOD AND DRINK 

• There'll be plenty of delicious food and drink at Chorley Flower Show:
• Café Ambio and Barrica in the Park will be open during the event to Chorley Flower Show ticket holders.
• There'll be a cafe in front of Astley Hall by Bees Country Kitchen as well as a pop up cafe by Totally Dvine in the Amateur competitions marquee with afternoon teas and also food to go.
• A food village and seating area (some areas under cover) is on the opposite side of the lake to Astley Hall.

PLANT AND PRODUCT CRÉCHE 

If you have bought the plants and items you want and want to enjoy the rest of your visit without carrying them around, we have a plant crèche by Astley Hall. 

Astley Hall

Astley Hall will be open for show visitors to enjoy, included in the Chorley Flower Show ticket price.
Please note during the show there will be no access to Astley Hall for those without Chorley Flower Show tickets.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

• Assistance dogs 
  Assistance dogs are welcomed in all areas. 
   
• Toilets
  There will be disabled toilets at the site
   
• Catering 
  All catering facilities are fully accessible however please be aware some areas are located on grass.
   
• Exhibits
  All marquees are accessible, and all gardens and floral exhibits can be viewed from ground level.
  The Coach House will host an exhibition by the Chorley Photography Society (gallery) and a wedding open day on the first floor which is accessible by lift.
   
• Astley Hall
  The ground floor of Astley Hall is accessible to wheelchair users. The flooring on the ground floor is a mixture of stone flags (Great Hall and Kitchen area), wood (passageways and Morning Room) and carpet. Upstairs it has a mixture of wooden floors (all main rooms) and carpeted corridors.
  There is no lift available inside of Astley Hall –  additional information materials are available on request for those who are unable to access the first and second floors of the building.
  There is no hearing loop system in place.
  Interpretation in rooms is set at appropriate heights according to museum guidance
  Background music is played on occasion in the Hall but can be turned off if requested
   
• Disabled assistance 
  Attendants cannot be provided but one companion is admitted free of charge per visitor who requires assistance. Please book a free carer ticket at the time of booking but please note you must be accompanying the person you are caring for.  See the tickets webpage for details of how to do this.
  If you are buying your ticket on the day and a require a carer ticket, please bring the required evidence detailed on our ticket web page
   
• Disabled Parking 
  Limited blue badge parking is available on Hallgate car park at the back of Astley Hall.  If this gets full we will have a drop-off point on Hallgate car park but the car will need to be parked on one of the other car parks. Please do not park on residential roads in Astley Village. The free park and ride (from the field across Botany Bay) has fully-accessible buses, which will transport passengers to Astley Village.

We have taken steps to ensure the event is well organised and safe for everyone to enjoy. Please respect other visitors and listen to the instructions of stewards.

Smoking/vaping is not permitted in any of the buildings or marquees and we’d ask you to respect others if you are smoking/vaping within the show area.
