Getting here

The best ways to travel to the show are by public transport (see details below), by using the Park and Ride service from Park Hall Hotel (see details below), or by parking in the town centre’s long‑stay car parks and walking to the Park Road entrance of Astley Park.

If you are visiting the show by car, please be aware that there is NO EVENT PARKING IN ASTLEY VILLAGE (with the exception of Blue Badge only parking on Hallgate car park – see details below) so please do not drive to this area.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

By public bus

For information on public bus timetables, please see the Lancashire County Council website or Travel Line. The Park Road/town centre entrance to Astley Park is approximately 10 minutes from Chorley’s main town centre bus station.

By Train

It is around a 15 – 20 mins walk from Chorley Train Station (town centre) to the showground at Astley Park and a 20-25-minute walk from Euxton Balshaw Lane station to the showground, which is on the Preston-Liverpool line.

PARK AND RIDE SERVICE

A park and ride service will run from Park Hall Hotel and Spa (Park Hall Road, Charnock Richard, Chorley, PR7 5LP) to the bus stop on Chancery Road in Astley Village – a few minutes-walk to the Hallgate entrance to the show. Directional signage will be in place when you leave the bus.

There will be a £1 per person charge (children go free) for use of the Park and Ride service which includes your return journey, payable when you get on the bus at Park Hall Hotel.

TOWN CENTRE LONG STAY CAR PARKS

There are a number of long stay car parks in Chorley town centre, a short walk to the Park Road entrance of Astley Park. Many of these car parks are free on a Sunday and after 1pm on a Saturday - please check the tariff board. Friday Street multi level car park (PR6 0AA) – 246 spaces
Friday Street North car park (PR6 0AA) – 74 spaces
Queens Road car park (PR7 1JU) – 84 spaces
Water Street car park (PR7 1EP) – 71 spaces
Fleet Street (PR7 2SA) – 120 spaces
George Street (PR7 2BN) – 33 spaces

Some short stay car parks are also free on Sundays and after 1pm on Saturdays: chorley.gov.uk/carparks

Parking can be paid for via the pay and display machine (cash) on car parks or via the MiPermit App (details of which will be on the Pay and Display machine)

WEST WAY SPORTS HUB

West Way, PR7 1FG. 100 spaces.
This is few minutes walk to the Hallgate entrance of the show, via the path to the rear of the West Way Sports Hub pavilion.

ACKHURST LODGE CAR PARK

Southport Road, PR7 6DD, 94 spaces

Please be aware that there is a tariff on this car park (see details at chorley.gov.uk/carpark
Once parked, if you enter the park through the Ackhurst Lodge entrance, once you reach the bowling green, you will need to walk round to the show entrance at Hallgate to enter Chorley Flower Show.

BLUE BADGE PARKING

The Hallgate car park (PR7 1XA, behind Astley Hall) is for Blue Badge parking only, on a first come, first served basis. If the car park is full, we will have a drop off point but you will need to park your car on an alternative car park.
