• 1:30pm- Charlie Dimmock Q & A - The Floral Curiosity Stage (in the Bloomin' Big Marquee)

One of Britain’s best known and best loved gardeners, Charlie Dimmock, will be heading to this year’s Chorley Flower Show on Saturday 1 August. 

Having first come to the nation’s attention on BBC1’s incredibly popular Ground Force filmed both here and in the US, Charlie has gone on to present amongst other things, Cheer for Charlie, Charlie and the Duchess, Garden Invaders and Chelsea Flower Show, for the BBC.  

Charlie Dimmock is a leading keynote speaker represented by the Champions Speakers Agency

• 10.30am: David Domoney and Martin Fish in conversation- Potting Shed Stage
   
• 12 noon: Plants with superpowers - Entertainment stage

• 3.30pm: Plants with superpowers - Floral Curiosity Stage (located in the Bloomin Big Marquee)

National television presenter, Chartered Horticulturalist and bestselling author David Domoney will be heading to the show on Sunday 2 August, delivering an inspiring programme of expert talks, audience Q&A sessions and a meet and greet.

David, who inspires people to become more involved and engaged with plants and nature, is a regular face on national television, presenting shows including ITV’s ‘Love Your Garden’ (Britain’s most viewed TV Gardening show), and the Sunday Morning show ‘Love Your Weekend’, and serves as the resident garden presenter on ITV’s flagship show ‘This Morning’.

Friday 31 July

BBC Radio Lancashire will be at the show on Friday 31 July, as well-known presenter Sharon Hartley broadcasts her show live from the event, bringing her trademark warmth and humour to the day’s activities. Throughout the live broadcast, Sharon will speak with visitors, exhibitors and contributors, shining a spotlight on the stories, people and experiences that make Chorley Flower Show unique.

The Red Barrows - special performance

BBC Radio Lancashire's Graham Liver has been on a mission to reunite local group 'The Red Barrows' who will be performing on Friday 31 July at Chorley Flower Show.
At 12 noon, follow The Red Barrows from the Astley Hall walled garden, as they head, with their wheel barrows, to outside the Bloomin Big Marquee for their performance.

Known for her standout appearance as a finalist on BBC's Interior Design Masters series 6, interior designer, artist and retail expert, Rita Millat will be part of this year’s Chorley Flower Show.

Rita’s work is rooted in storytelling and emotional connection, with an approach to design that goes far beyond aesthetics to explore the meaningful relationship we have with the spaces we share – a philosophy she will bring to life at Chorley Flower Show as she creates a show-stopping summer installation inside Astley Hall for show visitors to enjoy. 

Alongside this, Rita will also host talks and workshops on the Friday and Sunday.

We’ll be welcoming Martin Fish, Jill Fish and Jonathan Moseley back for all three days of the Chorley Flower Show as they share their expert knowledge and top tips with visitors.

Jonathan is well-known floral designer and popular demonstrator at flower shows and a regular on ITV’s Love your Weekend. A passionate promoter of British grown flowers, Jonathan is a British Flower Ambassador and works closely with cut flower growers. He grows a wide selection of flowers & foliage in his Derbyshire garden that he uses in his demonstrations at flower shows and at his long-running flower school in Derbyshire.

Martin started gardening as an apprentice on a Parks department and has a wealth of gardening knowledge. For many years he broadcast for the BBC & ITV and currently presents Pots & Trowels gardening videos and Podcasts on YouTube. He writes for Garden News, Kitchen Garden and the Dalesman magazine and is a RHS judge and chairs the RHS Tender Ornamental Expert Group. Martin & wife Jill live in Lincolnshire where they are developing their garden.  

Jill loves cooking, especially with fresh home-grown fruit and vegetables from their productive veg plot. As a home-cook, Jill has collated many recipes over the years from family and friends and recently co-wrote ‘Gardening on the Menu’ with husband Martin. When not cooking, Jill gardens in their Lincolnshire garden, writes for Kitchen Garden, The Dalesman magazine and co-hosts the Pots & Trowels gardening podcast. Jill and Martin also give talks to gardening and other groups.
