Shortlisting and winners

Three images from each category will be shortlisted. From these shortlisted entries, attendees of the Chorley Flower Show this summer will then vote for their favourite to choose the category winner.

The winning photographs will be displayed at the Chorley Flower Show 2026.

The winning photographers will win a weekend wristband for the 2026 Chorley Flower Show (categories 1 -4) or a hamper (for the young photographer category winner.)

Criteria

• All photographs must be a digital image received in JPEG format
• All photographs must be of high quality
• All photographs must be minimally modified. We are seeking natural photographs, free from digital manipulation. Subtle sharpening and colour balance will be regarded as normal digital processes.
• Entrants to the young photographer category must be aged 16 or below on the date the photograph was taken.
• Entries should be sent via WeTransfer to competitions@chorley.gov.uk with the following information provided in the message field.

  • Age of photographer: For young photographer category entries only
• From the information you submit only the name of the photograph and name of the photographer will be made public, where necessary the location of the photograph may be listed for Check Out Chorley Category. All other data will be held in accordance to Chorley Council’s data protection policy which you can read here.
• Entries should not include people who are identifiable in the images.
• By submitting the photographs to the Chorley Flower Show Photography Competition, you are agreeing for Chorley Council (the organiser of the competition) to utilise the images for promotional purposes.

Sunday 22 June 2025 – midnight.
